What is Drift?

Drift is a one-day dance event dedicated to empowering the next generation of teachers — emerging artists who are themselves still in the room. Four classes per division. Two divisions. Faculty who have just walked the path you're on.

Intermediate
Ages 9–12
Four classes designed for dancers stepping up. Movement vocabulary, performance, choreographic instinct.
Tier 02
Advance
Ages 13–21
Pro-track dancers and pre-pro artists. Faculty pull from current LA/NYC industry credits.
Tier 03
Both Levels
Full Day
Take all eight classes — Intermediate + Advance — for one all-in price. The most committed students do this.

Justin Bieber's Purpose Tour
Kayla Pereira
NJ · LA / NYC
Kayla Pereira is a dancer and choreographer born and raised in New Jersey. She dove right into the industry at a young age, booking her first professional job in an off-broadway show at the age of nine. Growing up, she trained in both a competitive dance and hip hop crew environment. Additionally, she was an elite protégé at The Pulse on Tour, an Intrigue Assistant, and currently trains under the guidance of Brian Friedman, Tricia Miranda, and Tyce Diorio. Using the diversity of her training as a strength, she has pursued multiple professional jobs such as Justin Bieber’s Purpose Tour and NBC’s World of Dance. Kayla’s choreographic style is largely influenced by her versatility as well, as it is a tool she uses to enhance her choreography. Currently, she is teaching and choreographing at studios around the country, while also working as a bicoastal professional dancer in both LA and NYC with MSA agency.

Rebekah Brodsky
Pittsburgh, PA
Born and raised in Ft. Lauderdale Florida, Rebekah is a dancer, choreographer, and teacher in New York City. She studied as a dancer and choreographer at the prestigious New York University’s Tisch School of the Arts dance program, where she earned her B.F.A in the spring of 2024. In 2022, she got the opportunity to perform in Kenichi Kasamatsu’s show “One, Two, Three”, and continues to work with him through his company, aKompany. Through her work in the Second Avenue Dance Company, she has worked with and performed repertory from renowned choreographers such as, SAMA by Andrea Miller and Votes for Mars by Laja Field, as well as working one on one with artists such as Sofia Nappi, Jenn Freedman, Sidra Bell, and many more. She has made numerous TV appearances such as being a part of the 17th season of “So You Think You Can Dance”, the Macy’s Thanksgiving Day Parade, and Disney’s Christmas Spectacular. Her training also extends to the b12 research or die Berlin Workshop Festival and the Alvin Ailey American Dance Theater summer program. Rebekah is an Intrigue Dance Convention Guest Faculty and was an Intrigue Assistant from 2016-2017 as well as 2020-2021, which kickstarted her love for choreography and teaching, where she now choreographs for studios around the country. Rebekah hopes to continue to grow and expand her dance knowledge so she can share her passion and love for dance with students around the world.

Ry Miller
Syracuse, NY
Ry was born and raised in Syracuse, New York and began dancing at the age of 11, training extensively in ballet, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, acro, hip-hop, ballroom, and more. Ry began choreographing for his home studio at the age of 13, specializing in contemporary and fusion styles. Ry's passion for choreography and education at such a young age led to him choreographing and teaching for studios across the country. At the age of 17, Ry was awarded 'Best Director' at Neovate in the summer of 2021, and was a senior assistant with Intrigue during the 2022–2023 season. Ry prides himself on his passion, dedication, and desire to push the boundaries of movement, and is eager to share with future generations.

Chela Levy
Texas
Born and raised in Tampa Florida, Chela began training competitively at age 7. She toured with Streetz Dance Convention as a Company Assistant during the 23'-24’ season. Additionally, she toured with Intrigue Dance Convention as a Senior Assistant during the 24’-25' season, performing consistently with the faculty and setting a total of 10 works over the span of the Regional/National Tour. Chela has earned her Master Certification in Dance from the Howard W. Blake Dance Department, and has gotten to work with instructors such as Layla Amis, Daniel Lewis, and John Lehrer through the program. Chela currently continues her dance education as a student of the Boston Conservatory at Berklee, where she will obtain her BFA in Contemporary Dance. She hopes to use all she is learning to inspire others and continue growing as an artist and choreographer.

Malia Rousseau
Drift Tour
Malia Rousseau is a dancer, choreographer performer and artist. She was raised in Allen, TX where she started dancing competitively at the age 8 training and competing in all styles of dance. Malia started teaching and choreographing at the age of 16 at her home studio PMDC where she is currently the mini co Director. Additionally, she sets choreography for various group dances, solo artist, duet/trios at other studios across the country. Malia won the opportunity to travel the country as a Streetz Team Assistant 22-23 and Intrigue Assistant 23-24. In summer of 2024 she was signed to Clear Talent Agency NYC where she has been sent on casting calls in both NYC and LA. She seizes the opportunities to train with well known choreographers in the industry so she can grow as a dancer, and also to bring back knowledge to the students. Malia has also toured a few cities with the world renowned artist Diljit Dosanjh, a Punjabi singer. Malia’s passion for dance continues to flow through her. She believes her true purpose as a dance teacher is to inspire and nurture the next generation of young dancers, not only through her artistry, but also through her character and compassion as a role model and mentor.

Mia Cherry
Drift Tour
Mia Cherry is a passionate and versatile dancer from Allen, Texas, who has trained in all genres of dance since the age of seven. She began competing shortly thereafter with her home studio, Pure Movement Dance, where she continues to thrive both as a performer and as an educator. Known for her captivating stage presence and refined movement quality, Mia brings both artistry and authenticity to every performance. Currently, Mia serves as a teacher, choreographer, and Mini Stars Director at Pure Movement Dance. She sets choreography for solos and groups across all levels and genres, dedicating herself to mentoring the next generation of dancers with purpose and passion. Mia’s professional journey includes touring as a backup dancer for international superstar Diljit Dosanjh, performing in three major cities and gaining invaluable stage experience. She was a 2023–24 member of the Streetz Company, where she traveled the country as a dance assistant, and in 2024–25, she was honored to serve as a Senior Assistant for Intrigue Dance Convention, assisting master instructors nationwide. Her journey continues as she joins Vitality the Company for the 2025–26 season—a reflection of her continued growth, commitment, and undeniable talent. Mia’s mission is simple yet powerful: to inspire young dancers to become the best version of themselves—on and off the stage.

Rylie Kuhn
Drift Tour
Rylie Kuhn is a 19-year-old dancer and choreographer from Cleveland, Ohio. She has trained in a wide range of styles such as ballet, contemporary, lyrical, jazz, hip-hop, ballroom, acro, musical theater, and tap since the age of four. Rylie traveled with Wild Dance Intensive as an apprentice from 2021 to 2024 and served as a Senior Assistant with Intrigue Dance Intensive during the 2024 to 2025 season. She continues to share her passion for dance as a choreographer across several studios in Northeast Ohio and teaches students of all ages in her hometown, where she loves making an impact and inspiring the next generation of dancers. Rylie has a deep passion for performing and is currently pursuing a Bachelor of Business Administration with hopes to continue dancing and teaching at a professional level while furthering her education.

This is your next step.
Each season, standout Drifters are invited to audition as Drift Assistants at Nationals. It's reserved for dancers who earned their title during the 2025 to 2026 Drift season. It's a chance to represent Drift on the main stage and step into a leadership role alongside the faculty.
Requirements
Every Drift Assistant must
- Take all Nationals classes
- Compete in the Improv Competition
- Participate in the live auditions
Audition & Selection
- 1Drifters are placed into groups for live auditions
- 2Assistants are chosen by the Drift Faculty
- 3Selections are announced at Gala by the attending Drift faculty
- 4New assistants are jacketed onstage
- 5Assistant paperwork & an availability form are completed onsite
- 6A photoshoot follows Gala
Eligibility: You must be a current Drifter who earned a title in the 2025 to 2026 Drift season to be considered for Drift Assistant selection.
